I live in the Dallas TX area and yes it gets really hot here and there are two things this helps with. These keep the engine significantly cooler when you're testing the speed limits so then effect when you come on to traffic your engine is already at a cooler temp when you reach that stop and go traffic. Going into stop and go traffic at 175 degrees when the outside air is 101 (as it was today) gives you some grace instead entering stop and go traffic at 195 degrees plus. So yes, these defiantly work!!
