Paragon Performance C8 Stingray Corvette Lowering Kit - Front Lift Cars

We all know the stock ride height is a better fit for GM trucks than a flagship sports car like the C8 Corvette Z06. This lowering collar is for front lift C8 Corvettes and will allow you to lower your car similar to OEM coilovers cars that do not have the front lift option. Combined with the factory rear adjustable collars you can achieve similar factory lowering capabilities as other Z06 C8 Corvettes. Includes aluminum spacer for brake line bracket to reduce tension on brake line.

This item was designed in house in CAD software, then 3D printed in a couple versions to verify fitment and lowering capabilities. After completed testing it was then produced accurately via CNC machine work.

Mag Ride Socket

This socket is more than likely needed for your install. Some shops may have this socket already but most people do not as it's a specialty tool. Be sure to watch the install video below to see if you need this or not.

De-Pin Tool

This tool makes de-pinning the connector on mag ride cars much easier. You can still do it without this tool, but be prepared to be frustrated for about 15-20 mins while you fiddle with other small flat heads to try and de-pin the connector.

Shims

We have added the option for a 3/8" riser shim. This will allow people who do not want a full .75" drop to achieve a 3/8" drop. This can be used to fine tune your drop if you have aftermarket springs and want to raise things up a bit or if you just don't want to lower your car the full 3/4".

  • Bump stops do not need trimmed. GM planned for Z51 cars to be lowered .75 inches ( factory max allowed ). The bump stop on the front lift cars are same as all Z51's. No trimming is needed

Non-Z51 with Front Lift & Magride

These collars worked great to lower my non-Z51 car that has magride and front lift. Detail install video posted on ParagonPerf YouTube channel or do what I did and make a trip over to Paragon's shop and schedule to have it installed!

Lowering Collars

This is my second C8 and second Paragon lowering collar purchase. have a Z51 with a front end lift and MSRC and these fit perfect vehicle on lift. Well made, and anodized in a nice finish unlike other options out there.

Works great, medium difficulty.

If you are lowering your C8 yourself, you should start by watching the Paragon video. Has a lot of good info so you can see what you will have to do. My only complaint was they didn't describe very well the MSRC connector de-pinning process. Would have been nice to have some good pics of that since the area I was working didn't have the best lighting and I ran into a little trouble. I have a Z51 with a front end lift and MSRC which is why you can't just use a coilover wrench like the rear shocks in a Z51 C8. You will need to remove the front struts. With vehicle on lift, you should use the weight of the opposite side wheel to help get the rotor pushed down as far as you can to get the strut to clear. Be careful with the banjo nut for the hydraulic line as well when re-attaching. Once you have the strut out and taken apart, sliding the collar in is easy. The look of the car is much much nicer. Closer to the C8R and I haven't seen any issues with wheels rubbing, even with the XL rock guards, etc.
